Refurbishment of existing building into new veterinary surgery.

Theobald’s were awarded these works by a long term client and involved the full refurbishment of an existing office building into a new vets.
The works involved the strip out of various rooms, new partitions to form store rooms and theatre room, new flooring throughout all areas, decoration to all areas, new x-ray rated doors to theatre room, including specialist boarding to walls, full electrical works including new power and lighting, new sink units to most rooms, refurbishment of reception desk and new aluminum windows and doorsets to front and side elevations. Air conditioning was also installed to various parts of the surgery, along with extract fans to various areas. The works also included a new tarmac drive to the front of the building including drainage and levelling out of the back garden for the installation of a timber shed by others.
The project was completed during the covid pandemic so material sourcing was an issue, but all materials were procured successfully to enable the completion of works. We also limited numbers on site throughout the contract period to comply with the social distancing regulations.
